WORTHING SEA CADET UNIT
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER VACANCY
The Worthing Sea Cadet Unit is a charity under the wider umbrella of the Marine Society and Sea Cadets (MSSC) charity, and are based at TS VANGUARD in Broadwater.
The Unit is currently looking for an Admin Officer to maintain Unit records – Personnel and routine Management – and to book and administer courses on behalf of the Cadets and Adult Volunteers.
The post is voluntary, and any necessary training for specific Sea Cadet issues will be provided.
Anyone interested in applying for the position will need to have a general level of computer knowledge and be capable of acting independently, although guidance and support from the Unit Command and Management teams is available as required. Training on the Cadet specific computer system will also be provided.
As the post would involve working with cadets under the age of 18, a DBS clearance and limited computer-based learning courses will be required. These are all arranged on a no-cost basis by the Sea Cadet Unit.
The Unit parades twice weekly on Wednesday and Friday between 1900 and 2100.
